We offer a comprehensive range of welding consumables including Metal Inert Gas (MIG) wire (in Solid and Flux Cored Wire), Gas Shielded Flux (cored) Wire, as well as Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Wire, Electrodes, Sub Arc Wires and Hard Facing products (including Tungsten Grit).

Aluminium Wire – Availailable in MIG or TIG:

• INTERWELD 4043
  Al / Si 5% – MIG or TIG wire. Silicon gives lower strength but provides excellent crack resistance castings, pump bodies and general repair work.
• INTERWELD 5356
  Al / 5% Mg – MIG or TIG wire Suitable for a wide range of cast and wrought Aluminiums.
• INTERWELD 57
  Al / 12% Si – TIG wire welding of cylinder heads, transmission casings, rocker covers and pump bodies etc.

Stainless Steels – Available in Electrode, MIG or TIG Form:

• INTERWELD 308 L
  Used as the filler metal when welding austenitic stainless steels. Used for high temperature applications such as in the electrical power industry.
• INTERWELD 309L
  Better temperature resistance than 304, also sometimes used as filler metal when welding dissimilar steels, along with Inconel.
• INTERWELD 309L-MO
  For joining dissimilar metals of stainless steel to carbon and low alloy steels. Most commonly used as a buffer layer when cladding mild steel with 316 austenitic stainless. 309LMo offers greater corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures than 309L. The addition of molybdenum to the chemical analysis also gives the weld deposit improved crack resistance.
• INTERWELD 310
  Is a highly alloyed austenitic stainless steel used for high temperature application. The high chromium and nickel content give the steel excellent oxidation resistance as well as high strength at high temperature. This grade is also very ductile, and has good weldability enabling its widespread usage in many applications.
• INTERWELD 312
  This filler metal has been found to be valuable in welding dissimilar metals such as carbon steel to stainless steel, particularly those grades high in nickel.
• INTERWELD 316L
  Is an extra low carbon grade of 316, generally used in stainless steel watches and marine applications, as well exclusively in the fabrication of reactor pressure vessels for boiling water reactors, due to its high resistance to corrosion. Also referred to as “A4” in accordance with ISO 3506.
• INTERWELD 347
  Stainless Steel 347 has slightly improved corrosion resistance over type 321 stainless steel in strongly oxidizing environments. should be considered for applications requiring intermittent heating between 427ºC and 899ºC, or for welding under conditions which prevent a post-weld anneal.
• INTERWELD 420
  Stainless steel is a martensitic higher carbon version of types 410 and 416 stainless that can be hardened by heat treatment. It contains a minimum of 12 percent chromium, enough to give 420 corrosion resistance properties. 420 Stainless is commonly used for dental and surgical instruments, pump shafts, plastic moulds and dies, steel balls, various hand tools, lens moulds, scissors, etc.

Copper Based Alloys

• INTERWELD BRONZE A1
  Iron free alloy used as an overlay for bearing and wear resistant surfaces requiring hardness such as valve seats, impellers in pulp mills and chemical plants. Not recommended for joining.
• INTERWELD BRONZE A2
  The most versatile alloy in this family, will resist inter-granular stress and corrosion cracking. Also used to join many Ferrous and Non –Ferrous combinations. Typical applications Ships propellers, hydraulic piston heads, bearings, bushes, impellers.
• INTERSIL SILICON BRONZE
  Used to weld hydraulic glands, brasses and steel tube where a good machine finish is required.
• INTERWELD Monel®
  Monel® is a Nickel Copper alloy used to join or repair wrought or cast Copper-Nickel alloys. Excellent corrosion resistance in sea water and widely used in the marine and Petrochemical Industries.

Nickel and High Nickel Alloys

• INTERWELD C
  This weld metal has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of chemical solutions where pitting and crevice corrosion is a problem.
• INTERWELD 625
  Welding dissimilar joints between Nickel Chrome Molybdenum Stainless or Carbon Steels. Withstands highly corrosive environments, very resistant to all salts, Chlorine gas, Phosphoric and Organic Acids.

Maintenance Welding Alloys

• INTERWELD 99
  Ni 99%, Mn, Si, C The Interweld 99 is used for the MIG and TIG welding of Cast Iron. This wire is extensively employed to repair grey cast iron castings as well as being used for overlay and build up. Other areas of application include Food processing equipment, caustic handling equipment and piping, chemical shipping drums etc.
• INTERWELD 6040
  Flux cored Nickel Iron Mig wire for joining and repairing of spheroidal graphite and malleable Cast Irons, available in 1.2mm and 1.6mm.

MIG Wires Hard-facing

• INTERWELD 600
  Designed to resist low stress abrasion with impact and high compressive stresses. Suitable for rock drills, conveyor rolls, screw conveyors and cutting edges etc. Chrome Alloy Mig wire 55-60HRC.
• INTERWELD 361 & INTERWELD 850
  “Complex Chrome Carbide 63-67 HRC. Typical applications – Crusher components-Rolls-Wear Bars-Hammers-Cement Kilns-Auger parts.

Low Alloy Steel

• INTERWELD B2
  1.25 Cr-0.5Mo content used for welding creep resistant steels. Used in heat exchangers, boilers, piping and pressure vessels with a service temperature up to 550°C. AWS specification AWS A 5.28:ER80S-B2.
• INTERWELD B3
  2.25Cr-1Mo wire used for welding creep resistant steels. Used in heat exchangers, boilers, piping and pressure vessels with a service temperature up to 600°C. AWS specification AWS A 5.28:ER90S-B3.

Electrodes

• INTERWELD E889
  One of a kind heavily copper clad “Tri-metal” cored cast iron electrode. Proprietary copper-nickel-iron deposit chemistry yields the ultimate combination of softness, ductility and tensile strength.
• INTERWELD E820
  Ferro Nickel electrode with special low Hydrogen-graphite coating for cold welding of cast iron. Very good welding properties paired with a high deposition rate. Good machineable deposit.
• INTERWELD E824
  High Nickel electrode for the cold welding of cast iron as well as malleable cast iron. Good machinable weld deposit and excellent welding properties on bad and dirty castings.
• INTERWELD E312
  Designed to weld hard to weld steels and join dissimilar steels. Ideal for keyway splines, sprockets etc Good machining qualities.
• INTERWELD E360
  For the welding of dissimilar joints of hardenable steels, steel armour, spring steel, cast steel. Gives tensile strength up to 120,000 psi. Good machining characteristics.

Tungsten Grit
