Engineered Surfaces for Exceptional Performance

The Hipo Jet 2700 HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) Powder Spray System runs on low cost fuels such as Propane / LPG / Propylene / Natural Gas. As liquid fuels are not used, the system does not require any fuel pumps. The result is a low operating cost compared to other HVOF systems.

The HVOF powder spray gun control console comprises of oxygen & fuel flow meters with control valves powder feeder. The Air Control Unit is comprised of an automatic drain air filter with regulator and secondary filter for oil.  The high-pressure hose unit is used with oxygen, propane and air.

The simple operation and low weight of the Hipo Jet 2700 HVOF Powder Spray system, combined with the PF-700 Powder Feeder, makes this system ideal for onsite thermal spray work. There is only minimal additional training required for operators of combustion spray equipment.

The above demonstrates the Hipo Jet 2700 in operation as well as also featuring the use of ‘MSSA No Bond” to mask parts of the job in order to prevent over-spray.

Typical Applications

Hipo Jet 2700 M Spray Gun

The HIPOJET-2700-M gun is a rugged and versatile thermal spray device, designed to operate with a variety of fuel gases. It provides reliable and efficient operation and can be adapted for both automated and manual coating applications.

The gun design utilizes an internal axial-feed powder injection. Specially designed water cooled gas mixing and combustion chambers allow for high thermal efficiency and maximum particle heating, unrestricted gas and powder flow. The results are high particle velocities producing dense, low oxide coatings leading to reduced operating cost. All hose connections enter the gun axially, producing a streamlined and compact unit. The versatile gun body design allows for quick maintenance operations. A variety of gun mounts for machine and robot mounting are also available.

The gun offers simple operation:

Control Console MP-2100

The Control Console model MP-2100 is the most important and heart of the HIPOJET powder spray system. It is a robust instrument designed for safe regulating and measuring the flow of oxygen, fuel gas and air to the HIPOJET-2700 Spray Gun. Connected between the gas supply and the gun, it is the reliable indicator of gas flow and aid to highest coating quality.

Three pressure gauges are provided in this console, one each for oxygen (0 – 21 kg/cm2), fuel gas (LPG /Propane) (0 – 10 kg/cm2) and air (0-10 kg/cm2). The pressure can be preset through the gas regulators and air regulator fitted on gas cylinders and air control unit respectively. The control panel also consists of three flow meters (one each for oxygen, fuel gas and air) to measure the flow of these gases in SLPM.

Features

Powder Feeder PF-3350 / PF-700

The models PF-3350 and PF-700 operate on a volumetric feed principle. Slots in the powder wheel at the base of the canister fill with powder. Rotation of the powder wheel forces the powder into the exit ports. An inert carrier gas transports the powder from the exit ports through the powder hose and to the thermal spray gun. The system is built to withstand the spray environment. Heater blanket temperature control with selectable increment is optional.
